part of me wants to wear leather jackets and red lipstick and be super sexy and break boys’ hearts but then I also want to wear sundresses and be sweet and cute and shy and giggly but a different part of me wants to be beautiful and smart and mysterious and another part of me just wants to sit in bed and watch netflix while I eat pizza
Actually this picture “Community Puts in a Wheelchair Park” is not just any park, this is Morgan’s Wonderland and it is the only amusement park in the world that accommodates special needs people. It’s in San Antonio, Texas, and I have been there twice with my daughter, who has Asperger’s and my family. My daughter gets in free as do all who are special needs.
Every single ride is outfitted for everyone.
There are superhero mascots everywhere of all different varieties, as varied as life itself. There is even a calming garden to go for some if they have been overstimulated, as can be the case for people with autism and Asperger’s.
I have seen a grown man tear up the first time he finally got the sensation of swinging in a real swing that can support him in his chair, something some of us take for granted.
It has been visited by over 35 countries and it is a wonderful, wonderful place.
This is so beautiful
What I don’t get is why there aren’t more parks like this. I’m fairly sure Texas isn’t the only state with special needs people.
Personal rule: Always reblog about Morgan’s Wonderland.
Because I will never get tired of how great it is. Because it is. It’s really, really great. THE SWINGS. THE CAROUSEL. *______* IT’S JUST REALLY GREAT.
I had a lot of fun there, is what I’m trying to say.
I’m way past overdue to make another visit that way. I vote that the People of the Loftin Table gather together to plan a visit.
"All they sing about is wanting to kill themselves & death & their music is full of hate"
Really? You still think that? “Open your mind before your mouth” before you criticize the people who saved my life.
Guys sorry for the colour but i really fucking love this post.
